Hello to Everyone!

We are having a fundraiser for Huntington Disease to raise funds for research and raise awareness. There are many people who don't know what Huntington Disease is: Huntington disease (HD) is an inherited brain disorder that causes cells in specific parts of the brain to die.The disease leads to complete incapacitation and, eventually, death.

At the moment there are no treatments that will slow down or stop the disease in humans. But hope for a meaningful treatment has never been more real. In recent years, basic research has dramatically increased our knowledge of HD. Various promising treatment strategies are now in the drug discovery pipeline. More than ever, now is the time to step up the fight against HD.

This event is inspired by our sister, Lina Tantalo, who is challenged by Huntington Disease on every level She is a real trooper in her fight with HD.

Lina used to be a famed baker and photographer to all who know her, aside from being an elementary school teacher. In honour of Lina's talents and passion for living we will be reviving her famous biscotti recipes and launching them at the fundraiser! So...please come out and support a great cause and enjoy a night of dance and song performances from Toronto's local talent......

About Huntington Disease (HD):

Huntington Disease is a debilitating illness which affects one’s motor, emotional and cognitive skills which leads to dementia and eventually death. 

Currently there is no cure for this devastating disease.  The international scientific community is researching new drugs and medication to find a cure….so there is hope….
